There is typically some confusion on how NetOffice works. People confuse their remote session with their local machine session. Hopefully this will resolve some of that confusion.
When you're working on NetOffice, you are really working on two machines - your local machine that acts as a "dumb terminal", and the remote session on the terminal server (off site) where you are actually doing all of your work. (See image below)
This is why rebooting the system under your desk usually will not fix issues you are having with your software, because your software is not running on your local system; it's running remotely/ on the terminal server.
When you have issues with your work software, it is best to call the HelpDesk for assistance.

This is a simplified drawing of what a typical NetOffice setup looks like. Because you do all of your work on the terminal server located in Dallas, you can work from any machine that has a high-speed internet connection, including a motel with your laptop, or your own home internet connection and workstation. Location of your desktop or laptop is not an issue, so you can work from anywhere in the world.
